What Are Shells in MM2 (Sea Shells)?

Shells are a limited-time event currency introduced exclusively for the Summer Event 2026 in Murder Mystery 2. This marks the first summer event to move away from Beach Balls, which were the go-to summer currency since 2023.

Here’s how Shells work at a glance:

• Shells are earned through gameplay and Daily Quests, not through trading or promo codes.
• You spend Shells to open the Summer Box ’26, which contains 12 exclusive summer weapons.
• Opening boxes also progresses your event milestones, unlocking bonus rewards like effects and extra weapons.
• Shells are tied to the event period only. Once the event ends on August 23, 2026, you can no longer earn or use them.

Important: Shells do NOT replace regular coins. You still collect coins in rounds as normal. Those coins help you complete Daily Quests, which then reward you with Shells.

How to Get Shells in MM2 (Sea Shell): All Methods

The event is designed so you earn Shells by playing normally and focusing on quests. There are no Shells scattered on the map to pick up.

1. Complete Daily Quests (Primary Method)

Daily Quests are your main source of Shells. Each day, the event menu offers a set of quests with specific objectives. When you complete a quest, you can claim Shells as the reward.

2. Play Rounds and Collect Coins

Coins you collect during rounds are what progress your coin-based Daily Quests. The more actively you play (moving around, grabbing coins, not AFKing), the faster you complete quests and earn Shells.

3. Claim Shells From the Event Menu

After finishing a quest, open the event/quest menu in the lobby and press “Claim” to receive Shells into your event currency balance. They won’t auto-collect, so you need to manually claim them.

How Many Shells Can You Earn Per Day?

Based on early community data, completing all available Daily Quests in a single day typically rewards approximately 150 to 200 Shells, depending on quest difficulty and how fast you collect coins.

Note: You can also open the Summer Box ’26 with 60 Gems as an alternative to 120 Shells, if you have Gems saved up.

Step-by-Step Daily Shell Farming Routine

Follow this loop every day for maximum Shells:

1. Join MM2 while the Summer Event 2026 is active.
   The Shells system only exists during the event period (July 23 to August 23, 2026).
2. Open the event quest menu and check your Daily Quests.
   Note what each quest requires: coins to collect, rounds to win, or roles to play.
3. Play rounds and prioritize coin collection.
   Move around the map and grab coins constantly. Avoid AFK or camping. Your goal is maximum coins per round.
4. Focus on role-specific quests.
   If you have Sheriff or Murderer quests, adjust your playstyle accordingly. As Sheriff, wait until you’re confident of the Murderer’s identity before shooting. As Murderer, target isolated players.
5. Track quest progress and finish all tasks.
